DormantCoin terms

DormantCoins are points you earn for using DormantFile and can swap for prizes. These terms sit alongside our terms of service.
Who can take part
Anyone aged 18 or over with a paid DormantFile plan. Coins are not earned on the free plan or on a plan given to you free by us. DormantCoin is off until you switch it on, from your dashboard or in Settings. You earn coins from your first payment either way, so they're waiting when you do. While it's off you can't use the daily spin.

The yearly limit is 15,000 coins per account per calendar year. Decoding letters earns coins for up to 4 letters a year.
Each award can be earned once for the thing it describes — once per company for setting something up, once per filing for a filing. Removing a company and adding it again does not earn its coins twice. Coins for identity checks and the confirmation statement are for what we see on the Companies House register; we don't file the confirmation statement or check identity for you.
When DormantCoin launched, we credited coins once for things you had already done with us. That launch credit doesn't count towards the yearly limit.
What coins are
Coins have no cash value. They can't be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash, and they are not a currency or a crypto-asset.
Spending coins
You can swap coins for prizes on your Rewards page from 14 days after your first payment. The price in coins is fixed when you claim. We send prizes by hand, usually within a few weeks. Prizes are subject to availability; if one runs out after you claim it, we'll return your coins or, with your agreement, send something of similar value. Posted prizes go to UK addresses only.
Losing coins
- If your plan ends, your coins are frozen. They are lost 12 months later unless your plan starts again.
- If you close your account, your coins are lost and any prize not yet sent is cancelled.
- If a payment is refunded in full, the coins earned since that payment are removed. This can leave your balance below zero until you earn more.
- We can remove coins earned by mistake or through misuse. Any change shows in your coin history.
Prizes have fixed prices
Every prize is swapped for a fixed number of coins. Prizes are never drawn or given out at random.
The daily spin
Once a day, anyone who can earn coins can spin the DormantCoin wheel for free.
- A spin is free. It can't be bought, and coins can't be swapped for spins or for better chances.
- You get one spin per account per day. The day resets at midnight UK time.
- Every spin wins at least 10 coins, and the coins go straight into your balance.
- The result is decided by a random number drawn on our server before the wheel moves. Your coin history shows the number drawn.
- Coins from the spin don't count towards the yearly limit.
The chances on every spin are:

We change the chances only from a Monday, and we show the new chances here and beside the wheel at least 7 days before they start. We may stop the wheel if we find misuse or a fault; coins you've already won stay yours.
Changes
We can change or end the scheme. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can spend your coins during that time.
Your postal address
If a prize is posted, we use your address only to send it, and we delete it 90 days after the prize is sent or the claim is cancelled. See our privacy policy.
