File your dormant LLP accounts online

Check my LLP Free. See what your LLP owes before you sign up.

An LLP files accounts at Companies House every year, even when it isn’t trading. When HMRC sends a notice asking for one, it files a Partnership Tax Return (SA800) too. We prepare both in an LLP’s own words — designated members, not directors — you review them, and we send them straight to Companies House and HMRC. Then we keep watch over the rest of the year: deadlines, the confirmation statement, members’ identity checks and the public register. £19/year, with a 14-day refund guarantee and free resubmission until your filing is accepted.

Both filings, and the year around them

LLP accounts to Companies House

Dormant LLP accounts, with the statements an LLP's accounts need above the designated member's signature. An LLP that isn't trading but had a transaction or two in the year — a loan repaid, bank charges — files short micro-entity LLP accounts instead. You preview the exact document before anything is sent.

Your Partnership Tax Return (SA800) to HMRC

An LLP doesn't file a Company Tax Return. The return it can owe is the Partnership Tax Return, and only for a year HMRC sends a notice asking for one. For a dormant LLP it shows nothing, and we file it with the LLP's own HMRC login, used once and never stored.

A year of deadline monitoring

Reminder emails at 90, 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 day before every Companies House deadline, confirmation-statement alerts, identity-verification reminders for members who haven't verified yet, a daily check for changes to the LLP's record you didn't make — its members, address, owners or name — and a check for strike-off notices.

Rejected? Fix and resubmit free

Prepare and preview everything free. If a filing is rejected, you correct and resubmit as often as you need at no extra charge — your subscription covers every attempt. And there's a full refund within 14 days if you haven't yet had a filing accepted.

Written for an LLP, not a company

  • Designated members, not directors. The accounts are approved by a designated member — one of the members responsible for the LLP's filings — and every screen and document says so.
  • Members' interests, not share capital. An LLP's balance sheet ends in what it owes its members and the members' other interests. If the LLP traded before going dormant, it shows the figures it still carries, as long as nothing about them changed in the year.
  • The tax return HMRC actually asks an LLP for. No Company Tax Return and no Corporation Tax reference. When HMRC's notice arrives, we file the Partnership Tax Return showing nothing to pay. When no notice arrives, there is nothing to file, and we won't sell you one.

Small filings, real risks

Is it really dormant this year? Dormant means nothing significant went through the LLP’s books — not an empty bank account. One bank charge or a loan repayment changes which accounts are due. We ask plain questions about the year, and the answers decide the accounts.

A notice from HMRC is not optional. Every LLP is on HMRC’s books from the day it is set up, so a notice to file a Partnership Tax Return can arrive even if it has never traded. Once it has, the return is due, and a late one costs every member £100 each.

A deadline that doesn’t move. An LLP’s accounts are usually due nine months after its year ends. Miss it and Companies House charges an automatic £150 penalty, and forgetting has never been accepted as an excuse — see how the penalties add up. We remind you 90, 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 day before.

£19/year covers all of it. Both filings, the reminder emails, identity-check reminders, the daily register watch, and free resubmission if anything is rejected.

How it works

  • Find your LLP. Search the Companies House register by name or number (LLP numbers start OC, SO or NC); we read the public record and work out which accounts are due and by when.
  • Preview the exact accounts. We build the accounts in the digital format Companies House requires (iXBRL) — plus, if the LLP still holds figures from its trading years, the balance sheet you check and confirm — and show them to you before anything is sent. Preparing and previewing is free.
  • Authorise and file. The LLP's Companies House authentication code (and, for the Partnership Tax Return, the LLP's own HMRC login) authorises the filing — we never file without you.
  • We watch until it's accepted. We keep checking for the result and email you the acceptance. Then the watchdog keeps an eye on next year's deadlines and the public register.

Filed direct with Companies House and HMRC — no paper, no middlemen.

Deadlines calculated from the register, monitored daily, reminded relentlessly.

Rejected returns are free to fix and resubmit, as often as you need — your subscription covers every attempt.

Common questions

Does an LLP file a Company Tax Return (CT600)?

No. An LLP is taxed as a partnership, so the return it can owe is the Partnership Tax Return (SA800), and only for a year HMRC sends a notice asking for one. For a dormant LLP we file it showing nothing to pay.

Can you file accounts for an LLP that isn't dormant?

If it isn't trading but had a few transactions in the year — a loan being repaid, bank charges, members' capital moving — yes: it can't file as dormant, so we file short micro-entity LLP accounts (FRS 105) instead. DormantFile doesn't file accounts for an LLP that traded in the year.

Who signs the LLP's accounts?

A designated member — one of the members responsible for the LLP's filings. You name them when you file, and their name goes on the balance sheet with the statements an LLP's accounts must carry.

What does the £19/year include?

LLP accounts filed at Companies House, the Partnership Tax Return (SA800) for any year HMRC asks for one, deadline monitoring with reminders, a daily watch on the public register, and free resubmission of rejected filings — your subscription covers every attempt, backed by a 14-day refund guarantee. Plans are priced by how many companies or LLPs you look after, not by how many filings you make.

Both filings for your LLP, £19/year.
