A dormant company's accounts barely change from year to year — so preparing them from scratch every year is busywork. Autopilot does the preparing: when your next accounts period comes due, the accounts are already built from your Companies House record, and a single click files them. You stay in control — nothing is ever submitted without your confirmation.

How a year on autopilot goes
Turn autopilot on once, from the autopilot page or settings. When your accounts deadline is 30 days out, we email you with next year's dormant accounts prepared and ready. You look them over, click once to confirm, and they're filed with Companies House. That's the whole ritual.
Your authentication code, properly held
Filing with Companies House needs your company authentication code. With autopilot on, we store it encrypted with AES-256-GCM. It is never logged and never appears in plain text anywhere in our systems.
Leave whenever you like
Turning autopilot off keeps your code saved so re-enabling is one click. Removing the code from settings deletes it immediately — no request, no waiting.
Never filed behind your back
Autopilot prepares; you confirm. The one click is yours — we never submit accounts without it, and you see exactly what will be filed before it goes.
What autopilot deliberately doesn't do
Autopilot covers dormant accounts only. For companies, the CT600 is always filed by you — HMRC sets those dates with you directly, and your Government Gateway login is used once at submission and never stored, so a Corporation Tax return can never be automated on your behalf.
Questions, answered
- Will anything ever be filed without me?
- No. Autopilot prepares the accounts and emails you 30 days before the deadline — the filing only happens when you click to confirm. No confirmation, no filing.
- Does autopilot handle my CT600 too?
- No — the CT600 is always filed by you. Your Government Gateway login is used once at submission and immediately discarded, so it can't be automated. Autopilot is for the Companies House dormant accounts leg only.
- What happens to my authentication code if I stop?
- Turning autopilot off keeps the code stored (encrypted) so you can re-enable in one click. Removing it from settings deletes it immediately.
