Inform Direct is company-secretarial software — share registers, board paperwork, company registers (statutory books) — with dormant and micro-entity accounts filing as one feature among many. What it leaves out for a dormant company is the other half of the job: it doesn't file your Company Tax Return (CT600), so HMRC's side stays with you to sort out separately. It also charges per filing — £25 for dormant accounts, £45 for micro-entity accounts, plus VAT. - No — their accounts filing covers the Companies House side, and the Company Tax Return remains with you to deal with. DormantFile files the nil CT600 to HMRC as part of the same flow as your accounts.
- We already use Inform Direct for our statutory books — can we still use DormantFile?
- Yes. DormantFile doesn't need your registers or secretarial records: we read everything we need for the annual filings from Companies House, so there's nothing to move across.
