# DormantFile

> DormantFile is a UK SaaS service that files dormant company accounts to Companies House and nil CT600 corporation tax returns to HMRC. It provides direct submission to government APIs, requires no accounting knowledge, and takes under two minutes per filing. Built as an affordable alternative after HMRC shut down its free CATO filing tool on 31 March 2026.

## Overview

DormantFile helps UK limited company directors file the two annual obligations every dormant company must meet: dormant accounts at Companies House and a nil CT600 return at HMRC. The service handles XML generation, IRmark computation, digital submission, and status polling — all through a simple web interface. Credentials are used once for submission and never stored.

Pricing starts at £19/year for a single company, £39/year for up to 10 companies, and £49/year for up to 100 companies (Agent tier for accountants and company secretaries).
